Review Album: Jeong Sewoon - AFTER [1st Mini Album part. 2]

Jeong Sewoon has first known through Kpopstar 3, then became popular by participating  Produce 101 Season 2 survival by Mnet. He came up in the 12th position, and almost became a member of Wanna One. He is my favorite contestant in PD 101, by the way. And last year, Starship finally debuting Jeong Sewoon as a soloist.

As a soloist, Jeong Sewoon has a different genre compared to another Starship soloist like Yoo Seong Woo, the one who is also known as Kpopstar participant. Sewoon gives us light vibes, his smooth voice is so healing. His song is good to listen on any kind of day. Before "AFTER", on August 31, 2017, Sewoon released a debut mini-album: "EVER". His debut is quite successful, since the title track "Just U" directly occupied the top position of real-time Korean song online and 2 times became the first nomination in M Countdown. Congratulation~

Karena tahun 2017 telah berakhir, aku ingin menuliskan film-film terbaik tahun 2017 berupa list dan review singkat. List backward di bawah ini didapat setelah proses pemilihan yang lumayan berat. Dan maaf tidak ada satu pun film horror di list ini. Bukannya tidak ada yang bagus, tapi ku tidak berani. Satu-satunya film horror yang bagus tahun kemarin adalah IT, itupun pas di bioskop banyak memejamkan mata, alhasil banyak bertanya sama partner nonton di sebelah.  Mungkin inilah yang dinamakan DMGD (disequity of movie genre disorder) xD 

15. Lady Bird

Film coming of age garapan aktris yang menekuni dunia persutradaraan, Greta Gerwig, yang menggelitik. Sebuah pencarian jati diri seorang Christina yang lebih suka dipanggil Lady Bird. "Call me Lady Bird!" Teriaknya pada sang ibu. Yang disorot adalah hubungan cinta dan benci pada sang ibu. Bayangkan, saat berdebat tentang universitas yang akan ia daftari dengan ibunya di mobil , Lady Bird memaksa keluar dengan membuka pintu mobil saat melaju kencang. What the H? Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn) mampu mengirim emosi seorang remaja labil dengan baik, masih cocok sekali menjadi anak SMA. Elemen yang kusuka adalah dialog yang konyol sekaligus cerdas. Sempat mikir, anak SMA di Amerika segitunya banget yak?!  Anyway, percaya nggak kalau ratingnya di rottentomatoes itu 99%?! 

14. Battleship Island

Adalah kenangan yang tak terlupakan bagiku saat keputusan impulsif membolang bersama sohib, jauh-jauh ke CGV Depok untuk bertemu mantan pacar dalam mimpi, Mas Song Joong-Ki. Tentu saja, adalah keputusan yang tepat untuk mengawali 2017-ku. Namun, malah jatuh cinta sama Om Hwang Jung Min (udahh lama sukanya sih, aktingnya SO CLASSY. My favorite korean actor in movie-land). Battleship Island tak hanya menampilkan sebuah diari historis yang epik tapi juga drama emosional yang tearjerking. Sangat menantikan garapan sutradara Ryo Seung-Hwan (Veteran, The Berlin File) selanjutnya tahun ini. 

With the heart to forget you...

Pernahkah kamu memiliki ingatan atau kenangan tentang seseorang yang sangat ingin kau hapus namun entah bagaimanapun ingatan itu tak mau lekang? Dan terus saja muncul di pikiranmu, saat entah kamu melewati jalan yang mengingatkanmu akan dia, atau mendengarkan lagu yang pernah didengarkan bersama, atau memakan menu yang kalian pesan saat kencan pertama. Itu berarti, seseorang itu tak hanya ada di memori otakmu, tapi juga ada di hatimu.

Judul entri ini kuperoleh saat ku mendengar lagu lawas yang diremake dengan sendunya oleh penyanyi favoritku. Judulnya begitu menamparku dengan keras. Banyak orang, termasuk aku, mungkin saja sudah menghapus seseorang dalam ingatan. Namun, apakah benar terhapus dari hati? Maka, untuk menyingkirkan ingatan akan seseorang, perlu satu formula, yaitu:

Kuliner~ Siapa yang nggak kenal satu kata ini, mau bicara soal kuliner pasti gak ada habisnya.  Apalagi di Solo, the spirit of Java~ Di Solo makanan enak-enak dan murah-murah banget, hehe. Oiya, terinspirasi dari vlog seorang youtuber serba bisa, Raditya Dika, aku ingin memproduksi pojok kuliner di blog ini. Sekaligus memberi preferance makanan yang enak ke kalian para pembaca. Apalagi yang senasib sama aku, ANAK KOS. Hehehe xD 

For the first, kedai mommilk. Kedai spesialisasi susu ini sangat populer di Solo. Sebabnya apa tuhhh? Akan ku bahas di postingan ini :D

[Album Review] Wanna One – 1-1=0 (NOTHING WITHOUT YOU)

Wanna One, the hottest K-pop rookie boy group of 2017, is back with an amazing, “Beautiful” song. Formed through the second season of the Korean television show Produce 101 by Mnet, Wanna One returned on Monday (Nov. 13) with 1-1=0 (Nothing Without You), an extended version of their debut EP 1x1=1 (To Be One), which peaked at No. 3 on the World Album chart upon its release in August.  So impressive, right? I really really love how creative Wanna One's album title is. The combination of number 1 (one) with the equation is really unique. 

Their repackage album 1-1=0 (Nothing Without You) has ten tracks, and two of them (“Burn It Up” and “Energetic”) are prequel remix. But in this entry, I just review the four new songs. Anyway, you can easily find Nothing Without You album in my favorite music platform, Spotify.

1. Nothing Without You (Intro.)

As the first track of the album plays, there’s a ballad vibe. Composed by Tenzo and Woziq, this ballad intro shows much different with their previous album (1x1=1 'To Be One'). The combination of hip-hop, trap, future also ballad can be found. And this intro success to give some chills when the next song played. Rating: 7/10

2. Beautiful

The title and main song of this comeback. "Beautiful" starts out absolutely strong and mellow beginning sentence part of Daniel Kang "a stupid little song can reach the heaven, I stay up all night, praying that I'll reach your heart". And the vocals on the pre-chorus are slow and gradually high. Show up their sadness because missing the one they loved. Really, no doubt, "Beautiful" is a beautiful song. It's great to be your lullaby, tho. My favorite part was their shout out "I miss you so much" and Daniel Kang's whispering part at the beginning and end. Rating: 10/10

3. 갖고 싶어 ( I Wanna Have)

"I Wanna Have" is a light song. It's very tenderly sung, and despite an overdose of falsetto, the instrumentation is pretty spare. Recommended listening to this in a good day, because will cherish you up even this song describes a desperate feel to the lovely girl. Kinda reminds me to White Sugar of Monsta X. Really good~ Rating: 8/10

4. Twilight

A tender song that instrumented with techno style. It doesn't really suit to a melow girl like me, hahaha. Twilight is the opposite of Beautiful. I don't say that twilight isn't beautiful, but it just hard to listen. I'm a weirdo, right? My favorite part of Twilight is Kang Daniel's "I'm missing you." I don't know why I think that his voice is so classy. Rating: 7/10

Okay as I say in the beginning of the entry, I just reviewed four. My favorite song of course, Beautiful. Recently I found my friend falling in love with this song too. It's hard to say that the contract the group will be ended at 2018. Still waiting for you guys with another daebak song. Byeee~

10 Best Film Keren dan Menguras Air Mata PART 3 [Terbaru]

Halo, fellas! Balik lagi denganku disini. Banyak banget nih yang request daftar filmnya diupdate, hehehe. Yang penasaran sama part 1 dan part 2 bisa langsung cus ke sana ya! Oiya sempat ada pertanyaan kenapa sih, kok film korea mulu yang direview? Jawabannya: Nggak juga lho, aku juga review film barat mungkin kadang film barat budayanya bertolak belakang sama Indonesia kan. Dari situ aku sukaaa sama film korea yang inovatif sama jago bikin termehek-mehek. Sekali lagi, review itu sifatnya personal, jadi ya aku nggak merekomendasikan film yang aku sendiri merasa nggak nyaman nontonnya. Aku juga suka nonton film mandarin, thailand, INDONESIA apa lagi. Jujur, film indo yang nangkring di bioskop tuh menarik-menarik banget, cuma yaa.. temen nontonnya itu gak ada HAHAHA. Jadi males ke bioskop deeeh. Oiya kalo mau nonton film korea di Indo sih aku rekomendasiin ke CGV. ;))

BAGUS BANGET. BANGET. Kisahnya tentang seorang dokter bedah yang saat tugas di negara asing menyelamatkan seorang anak, anak tersebut tidak tahunya memberikan sebuah 'hadiah' yaitu pil yang bisa bikin dia time traveling ke saat dia muda dulu. Ya, dia punya cinta pertama yang meninggal dengan sadisnya. Dia ingin kembali ke saat itu dan menyelamatkan kekasihnya. So sweet bukan?

7 Favorite Funny Episodes of Korean Show Happy Together

Do you know this variety show? I thought you didn't know, but un-rarely hear this well-known show in South Korea. Maybe you know Yoo Jae Suk (Running Man, Infinity Challange) (?), YUPS, he is the main MC in this talk-variety-show and also the first reason I watch HT continuously. In this page, I would like to mention some of my favorite episodes which made my day brighter. Maybe much foreigner viewers think that this show might be boring since the format is a talkative show. But, if you just continuously pay attention to MCs' joke and the invited guest, you can't help laughing too. Seriously funny then funnily serious. 

So I made this to newcomers. The first step to make you fall into this show is watch your favorite Korean artist (idol or boyband). I first watched it when the guest is SHINee or EXO. Then, you can try if you know the guest, like a hot actor who is currently in movie or drama promotion. For example Kang Ha Neul or Park Hyung Sik, it really helps. The last, you can just search on youtube which episode you would like to watch because KBS uploaded it in full version with English subtitle. (Thank you so much KBS!!!) Okay so let's start the string!

Happy Together Episode 457 - Global Entertainers Special

The Happy House goes global! The guest is singers who are more like entertainers, Henry, John Park and Kangnam show how foreign entertainers can succeed in Korea. Henry from Canada, John Park from US and Kagnam from Japan. And there was Sana (Twice), Sorn (CLC) and Cheng Xiao (Cosmic Girls) which join them to learn and show what they can do as prospective entertainers as an idol group.
