Do you know this variety show? I thought you didn't know, but un-rarely hear this well-known show in South Korea. Maybe you know Yoo Jae Suk (Running Man, Infinity Challange) (?), YUPS, he is the main MC in this talk-variety-show and also the first reason I watch HT continuously. In this page, I would like to mention some of my favorite episodes which made my day brighter. Maybe much foreigner viewers think that this show might be boring since the format is a talkative show. But, if you just continuously pay attention to MCs' joke and the invited guest, you can't help laughing too. Seriously funny then funnily serious.
So I made this to newcomers. The first step to make you fall into this show is watch your favorite Korean artist (idol or boyband). I first watched it when the guest is SHINee or EXO. Then, you can try if you know the guest, like a hot actor who is currently in movie or drama promotion. For example Kang Ha Neul or Park Hyung Sik, it really helps. The last, you can just search on youtube which episode you would like to watch because KBS uploaded it in full version with English subtitle. (Thank you so much KBS!!!) Okay so let's start the string!
Happy Together Episode 457 - Global Entertainers Special
The Happy House goes global! The guest is singers who are more like entertainers, Henry, John Park and Kangnam show how foreign entertainers can succeed in Korea. Henry from Canada, John Park from US and Kagnam from Japan. And there was Sana (Twice), Sorn (CLC) and Cheng Xiao (Cosmic Girls) which join them to learn and show what they can do as prospective entertainers as an idol group.
This episode was so hilarious. Henry comes back in variety with his continuous flirtatious ways (even some of it isn't on purpose) because wonder if his a flirt or if he's just super touchy feely with everyone HAHA. And the editing was super on point especially tagline "DO NOT FEED HENRY" when he's flirting on the girls. John Park is a good entertainer too. I can't believe he has such an innocent and awkward personality but that makes him really funny. HAHA. And Kangnam such a pros because his natural joke was on point. I enjoyed the guests even though I really don't know them at first. Let's talk about the girls. Sorn (Thailand's representative) is soo funny, I think she will show up as a guest in a variety show as often. While Sana's charming is no joke and Cheng Xiao is beautifully attractive:))
Funny moment is when...
-Everytime John Park being bullied. He was from US but his English just so awkward :'D
-Every Sana and Kangnam interaction. When the MCs confused about "who's right in speaking Japanese" that was so funny :'D Yoo Jae Suk even thinks if Kangnam isn't from Japan but from Gangnam (a city in South Korea).
Episode 448 - Been Through a Lot
In today’s episode, Happy Together invites five successful celebrities who have been through all sorts of hardships. The guests talk about how they overcame the hard times and rose to fame. Comedian Ji Sangryeol, actor Ji Seunghyeon, singer Jisook, musician Eric Nam and Han Heejun will share their talents and charms.
The guest is so dynamic. Han Hee Jun, who made it to the Top 9 on the 11th season of “American Idol,” is known for his goofiness and funny comments to those who watched the reality tv show. Eric Nam is soo well-manner man. Ji Sang Ryeol was a scene stealer too in this episode, I can't tell you but that part really hilarious.
It's hilarious too at the story when Hee Jun interviewing Matt Damon. I guess that's just his personality, talking about random things. remember when he met Ryan Seacrest and talked about how Ryan's face is so small it's almost a fist-sized 😂 that's just how he is but maybe it doesn't suit an MC xD. Honestly, I cracked up from the beginning until the end. Since the tragedy fashion underpants, the imitation of Obama, Gollum also Smeagol, the monkey and gorillas things. Overall, a hilarious episode.
Episode 464 : Show Me The Swag
Today’s episode features Jessi, San E, C Jamm and MC Minzy as guests who talk about their journey to the music scene. Each of them has their own distinct “swag,” which will be evidently shown in the rap battle. The MCs break it down with their jam-packed hilarious antics alongside, making the program more exciting to watch
San E's laugh is the first thing hilarious. Jessi was showing her confidence up by bringing her side story. She's a strong woman, who can speak up and break these stereotypes about the negativity of hip-hop things! C-Jamm, the runner-up of Show Me The Money, was rather quiet but he's still amazing by answering MC's questions.
ALSOOO, the scene stealer of SMTM Show, MC Minzy a.k.a Junha brought me to tears. Even Jessi ask "Why you come here?" HAHAHA. His slapstick joke about his way rapping, when his bracelet spread off, and etc... soo many things make me literally laughed my ass off xD
